Description
A traditional pattern made with a variety of vibrant and bright-colored batik fabrics. The color palette includes olive and lime greens, purples, blues, pinks, oranges, whites, and blacks. The border is shallowly scalloped and the backing features a white floral print.
King (110″ W x 113″ L)
A regular king mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 17″ drop on each side.
A California king mattress is 72″ wide and 84″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 19″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Specific to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, this pattern is also known as Trip Around the World to the Mennonite community, and Sunshine & Shadows to the Amish community. It is made by sewing together thousands of tiny squares in rows of contrasting colors to form diamond shapes.
