Description:
This is a dramatic quilt constructed of almost twenty yards of stunning fabric in jewel-tone colors. The fabric prints are brilliant floral, paisley, geometric, dot, or swirl designs. The majority of the prints have a metallic element that catches the light. A stunning central star includes black with metallic dots, shades of violet, purple, bright blue, and teal blue. The center is composed of a radiating star on a black circular base moving into paper-pieced spiking rays. The border is a black background fabric printed with a purple and blue floral pattern representing all the colors in the quilt. A beautiful leaf print backing in aqua finishes the quilt with the quilter’s signature in the bottom corner. The entire quilt is hand-quilted with precise stitching.

King Size: 111″ x 118″
A regular king mattress measures 76″ wide and 80″ long, so this specific quilt would have a 17.5-inch drop on each side.
A California king mattress measures 72″ wide and 84″ long, so this specific quilt would have a 19.5-inch drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough for a significant drop at the foot and a nice pillow tuck at the top, eliminating the need for pillow shams.
About this Pattern:
Judy and Brad Niemeyer designed the Amazon Star for foundation paper piecing over 10 years ago. This quilt is a challenge to piece together as it requires several advanced quilting techniques.
