Description
A twist on the traditional Log Cabin pattern by using contrasting light and dark fabrics to create the image of a star in the center. This beautiful quilt features floral fabrics in navy blues, cranberry reds, and beiges. The backing is a solid white.
Measurements:
King (113″ W x 118″ L)
A regular king mattress is 76″ wide and 80″ long, therefore this quilt would have an 18.5″ drop on each side.
A California king mattress is 72″ wide and 84″ long, therefore this quilt would have a 20.5″ drop on each side.
All quilts are long enough to allow for a significant drop at the foot of the bed as well as a nice pillow tuck so there is no need for shams.
About This Pattern:
Log Cabin quilts date back to when Abraham Lincoln was running for office. Because women could not vote, they made log cabin quilts to show their support for him as he lived in a log cabin. During the era of the Underground Railroad, a log cabin quilt hanging in the window of a Northern home indicated a safe house.
Pieced by local artist, Kandy and hand-quilted by an Amish woman
